Introducing Alessia Lanzone: Frozen Crown's Newest Guitar Player
Frozen Crown recently announced that they now have a new permanent sixth member. Her name is Alessia Lanzone, and she will be sharing lead and rhythm guitar responsibilities both in live performances and in the studio, alongside Sheena and Federico. Like Niso when he initially joined the group, Alessia is just 17 years old. However, over the past few months spent in secret collaboration, she has already demonstrated her talent. The band is now eagerly looking forward to introducing her to their audience during live performances. Alessia will make her debut appearance with them at their upcoming show on September 16th in Tuttlingen, Germany, which promises to be an exceptional event.
The band has been progressively incorporating more guitar tracks into their albums, resulting in songs filled with harmonised riffs and leads, often featuring dozens of guitar layers, particularly in the studio. During live performances, the band felt that the absence of a rhythm guitar player was being felt, especially during twin leads. In terms of lead guitar, Sheena and Federico had to rework many songs, sometimes sacrificing certain parts to ensure they sounded right in a live setting without feeling empty.
The band have always consciously chosen not to include guitar layers in their backing tracks and they firmly believe that this approach is the right one for them. They prioritise a live and raw sound, using only a few keyboard sequences sparingly, mainly in critical sections of their songs. Their commitment to authenticity has never wavered, and they've always followed their artistic instincts rather than conforming to trends.
With the addition of Alessia, Frozen Crown is now officially a band with three guitar players.
