Karma's Puppet - Where The Old Roots Grow

Karma's Puppet Album Cover

So after a number of awesome singles and an E.P. Karma’s Puppet are finally releasing their debut album on 6th October 2023 which will be available on all major streaming platforms and for me, it was worth the wait!

The album starts with a tense, moody intro and then promptly kicks into The Vacuous with the sort of stompy riff that will get every head bobbing in the room and should be labelled ’automatic pit inducer’.

It’s starts off flying and just doesn’t stop. This is relentless in all the best ways. They know how to bang out an awesome riff. Their pinch harmonics are so on point it’s almost witchcraft. The twin guitar harmonies are executed seamlessly and at times are even complemented by a harmonic bass.

New tracks and old favourites blend together perfectly. It’s was great to hear returning favourites like The Butcher alongside the new tracks.

This is a band that deserve to be recognised. I cannot overstate how much I love this album. It would be awesome one day to see them in front of a massive audience doing the call and response breakdown of Thorns.

In a world where music often blends into the background, Karma's Puppet stands out with their debut album, "Where The Old Roots Grow." From the intense opening notes of "The Vacuous" to the closing echoes of "Ghosts in Colour," this album is a relentless rollercoaster of musical prowess.

I, for one, can't wait to witness their energy live during their album launch tour from October. We will be at the legendary (infamous?) Grand Central in Manchester on the 15th. Just go. Don't miss it. "Where The Old Roots Grow" is more than an album; it's an experience that will leave you craving for more.
